Our L’Arche-Kovcheh workshops – “Busy Bees”, “Dreamers”, “Znesinnia”, “Nazareth” and “Smiles” – are located in various regions of Lviv.

Every one of these five workshops is, above all, a place in which everyone feels that they belong, and are a part of a community.   Here everyone can walk through life together with others and get to know God, learn new things, develop their creative gifts, cultivate a sense of their own worth and recognize the value of their lives.

In the workshops, the core members, namely, those individuals with developmental disabilities, together with young assistants and volunteers, work on various arts and crafts:  woven bags, decorative candles, icons and other works in wood, beaded jewelry and cards, works in clay and ceramic.  In addition to meeting regularly at the workshops, core members also meet on holidays, celebrations, as well as for trips outside of the city.  Through these various activities, our friends develop their talents and express themselves through meaningful work, thus cultivating in themselves a feeling of self-worth, and becoming a part of both the L’Arche-Kovcheh and surrounding community, throughout the city of Lviv.

  • Most workshops are open Mondays through Fridays from 10:00 to 16:00.
  • The “Smile” Workshop, for core members with more profound developmental disabilities, operates Mondays through Thursdays from 11:30 to 17:30.
  • On the first Monday of each month, the entire L’Arche community assembles for common prayer in the chapel at the Ukrainian Catholic University, vul. Svientsitskoho, 17 in Lviv.  Members from all five workshops, together with guests and family members, gather to celebrate the Divine Liturgy at 11:30.

All are welcome to join us!
